It's time for EXPEDITIONS: a project to alternate school and work for 700 students
The protocol agreement with MAST signed on the day of inauguration between the Scholastic Office of the Emilia-Romagna region, the MAST Foundation and Coesia.
Today at the MAST Foundation, Isabella Seràgnoli and Stefano Versari signed the agreement between the Scholastic Office of the Emilia-Romagna region, the MAST Foundation and Coesia Group for a project to alternate school and work for students in their third year at secondary schools. This educational programme, denominated “EXPEDITIONS”, focuses on innovation in the mechanical industries with projects concerning packaging, automation, the marketing of industrial products and Industry 4.0.
Stefano Versari, Director General of the Scholastic Office of the Emilia-Romagna region, Enrico Wallner, Coesia Chief Financial Officer and Massimo Bergami, Advisor to the MAST Foundation and Project Leader of Expeditions, presented the project. The agreement between the Scholastic Office of the Emilia-Romagna region, the MAST Foundation and Coesia has a 3-year term and will include various activities, beginning with the project that will involve 700 students from six scholastic institutes of Bologna (scientific secondary school ‘Augusto Righi’; secondary schools ‘Belluzzi-Fioravanti’, ‘Aldini-Valeriani-Sirani’, and ‘Enrico Mattei’; technical secondary school ‘Rosa Luxemburg’; and professional secondary school ‘Arrigo Serpieri’), from now until May.
EXPEDITIONS offers these young people the opportunity to get experience in the field, which Law 107 of 13 July 2015 made obligatory, by means of a three-month educational programme for a total of 80 hours work, focusing on the discovery of some aspects of technological innovation. In this journey through enterprise, students will be guided by an interdisciplinary staff of university faculty members, young researchers, managers and engineers dedicated to them with the goal of stimulating their motivation for the culture of action, innovation and entrepreneurship.
