Coesia Awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for Sustainability

After achieving the Silver Medal in 2024, Coesia has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal in 2025, placing the Group in the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide by the leading international rating agency for ESG performance. This important recognition reflects Coesia’s continued commitment to embedding responsible and sustainable practices across its global operations.

The progression from Silver to Gold is the result of a structured and comprehensive roadmap, underpinned by concrete and measurable initiatives.

A key milestone has been the strengthening of Coesia’s governance system. This includes the introduction of an updated Group Code of Ethics and Supplier Code of Conduct, alongside an expanded ESG policy framework covering the Global Whistleblowing Policy, supplier management, human rights protection, and the promotion of a positive and inclusive workplace.  

Coesia also introduced sustainability-linked financing for the first time, integrating clear and measurable ESG targets into its financial strategy. Through these instruments, the Group directly ties economic benefits to the achievement of environmental and social goals, further reinforcing the link between financial performance and positive impact on society and the environment.

Another example of concrete action is the adoption of a climate transition plan with targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This enables the Group to set rigorous decarbonization goals and implement tangible measures to reduce direct and indirect emissions across the entire value chain, supporting Coesia’s long-term trajectory toward net-zero, in alignment with the Paris Agreement.

Coesia has also continued to invest in the development of technologies that support circularity, the use of recyclable materials, and an overall reduction of environmental impact, helping customers advance their own sustainability strategies.

In parallel, Coesia strengthened its social responsibility initiatives through advanced welfare programs and training activities developed in collaboration with local institutions.

The EcoVadis Gold Medal confirms Coesia’s ability to systematically integrate sustainability into its business model through a structured, measurable, and innovation-driven approach that combines technological excellence, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
