Coesia’s net-zero targets have been validated by the science based targets initiative (SBTi)

Coesia announces that its net-zero, near-term and long-term, emissions reduction targets have been officially validated by SBTi, confirming they are science-based.

Coesia has committed to:

• reach net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain by 2040;
• reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 70% by 2030 from a 2022 base year and absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 25% by 2030 from a 2023 base year (near-term targets);
• reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2040 from a 2022 base year and absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90% by 2040 from a 2023 base year (long-term targets).

The SBTi is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies worldwide to help tackle climate change through the development of standards, tools, and guidance for setting targets in line with the latest climate science.

Coesia will continue improving the sustainability of its operations, working with partners upstream and downstream to achieve these targets, and with clients to drive the sustainable development of its products, solutions and services.
