The Sr. Project Manager executes multiple projects simultaneously to ensure FlexLink delivers the project on time, within budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction.   Works on projects for key customers with high complexity and impact, with mixed content (major sub suppliers)

Main Responsibilities / Activities

Main tasks

• Ensure profitability and customer satisfaction in projects delivered
• Execute technical project through system engineering
• Collaborates with sales engineers for solutions related to assembly or otherwise
• Directs project engineering requests and specifications to external suppliers for outside buys.  Coordinate with Procurement to issue RFQs and negotiate pricing. 
• Financial forecasting & follow-up; cash flow calculations
• Planning and follow-up that ensures highest possible margin
• Manage the fulfillment process and resource planning i.e. engineering, finance, assembly, installation and commissioning
• Manages and coordinates the project hand-off from applications engineering and the internal shop kick-off
• Directs and manages the approval drawing process, coordinating with project engineering and the customer to achieve ensure timely release of Approval Drawings, final acceptance by customer and ordering of materials
• Lead, manage and execute assigned projects according to the Group Operations Management System
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously
• Regular written and verbal updates to customer of project status and any potential schedule delays along with avoidance options
• Negotiates Engineering Change Notices as needed with the customer and coordinates PO receipt with finance
• Summarizes each project status, margin threats and critical tasks during weekly milestone meetings with finance and shop management

Basic Requirements

Education and experience:

• Bachelors in Engineering, Industrial Technology or similar degrees, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management or a combination 5 years of experience at FlexLink in an engineering role and 3 years in project management
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering
• Project Management certification through PMI preferred
